Getting started with your mentoring journey

Welcome to the WeCare Mentoring programme where experience meets the future!

The WeCare  Mentoring Program matches international HKA students with experienced HKA alumni or professionals who have successfully started their careers in Germany. Over a period of four to six months, mentors provide individual guidance, practical career advice, and valuable insights into the German job market. The program helps students strengthen their professional skills, expand their network, and prepare confidently for their career entry in Germany.

Before you begin your mentoring journey, we invite you to join our Kick-off Workshop. This interactive session is designed to introduce you to the programme, help you prepare for a successful mentoring relationship, and connect with your fellow mentees.

During the workshop, you will:

• Get an overview of the WeCare Connect Mentoring Programme and what to expect over the coming months.
• Learn about the roles and responsibilities of mentors and mentees.
• Reflect on your personal expectations, goals, and motivations for participating in the programme.
• Identify topics you would like to discuss with your mentor and define what you hope to achieve through the mentoring experience.
• Receive practical tips on how to build a productive and rewarding mentoring relationship.
